Counties we deliver science workshops in
Every county below has its own page naming the schools the group has worked in there. Counties are listed roughly by how much work we do in each, busiest first, rather than alphabetically. If yours is not on the list, ask anyway - coverage depends on the date rather than the postcode.

Availability depends on the date rather than the distance. Science Week and the last weeks of the summer term fill first, so if you have a fixed date in mind it is worth asking early.
We come to your school
Your classes never leave the site
School Science Days delivers in primary schools across England and Wales. The headsets, the equipment and the facilitator arrive at your gate, set up in your hall and are packed away again before the end of the day.
- 01
Everything comes to you
There is no trip to book, no coach to pay for and no risk assessment for taking children off site. The facilitator arrives with the headsets, the kit and the consumables, and takes all of it away again at the end of the day.
- 02
We are set up before the first session
Your facilitator arrives well ahead of the first class, unloads, tests every headset on our own network and is ready before the bell. Nothing is being assembled while thirty children wait in the hall.
- 03
Distance is in the written quote
Travel is worked out from your school postcode and written into the quote before you confirm. There is no separate mileage charge added afterwards and no postcode lottery applied at the invoice stage.
- 04
Long journeys are planned properly
If your school is a long way from the facilitator, we build the travel into the timings rather than squeezing the day. Where an early start is not realistic, we will tell you at the quote stage instead of arriving late.
What your school provides
A hall, a parking space, a member of staff
That is genuinely the list. Everything technical is ours to bring, set up and take away.
You provide
- A hall, studio or large clear indoor space - roughly the size of a school hall, with the chairs stacked back
- Parking close to an accessible entrance so equipment can be unloaded and loaded without a long carry
- A member of school staff present in every session, as the class teacher or a teaching assistant
- Access to a standard mains socket and a rough timetable for the day agreed in advance
Good to know
- Your hall can go back to normal for lunch if we know in advance - we work around sittings, assemblies and PE.
- Split-site schools and federations can usually be covered, though it may need two facilitators or two days.
- Small and rural schools are welcome. Fewer classes does not mean we will not travel, it means we quote a half day.
If you are not sure your space is big enough, tell us the room and we will tell you honestly whether it works. It is a two-minute conversation and it saves a difficult morning.

Tell us your postcode and your date
Send the school postcode, the date or half-term you are thinking about and how many classes you need covered. We will confirm whether we can get to you and put a price in writing.
